- Consultation:
A Principal must consult with the staff, arising out of which the
schedule of Post of Responsibility duties is drawn up and presented to
the Board of Management for approval.
- Post Duties: Following such approval, the Board/Chairperson & Principal approve specific duties to the post.
- Advertising:
The advertisement for the Post of Responsibility is posted within the
school for 5 school days (details sent to teachers on leave); contains
a statement of duties and specifies the closing date for receipt of
written applications (not earlier than 10 school days from the date of
posting the advert).
- Independent Assessor:
The role of the Independent Assessor is to ensure that the procedure is
fair and just. This is achieved by adherence to the agreed mandatory
procedures as determined from time to time.
- Remuneration: A gratuity in the amount of ?150.00 (minimum) per day for each of the days that an Independent Assessor is engaged.
